That’s an interesting sentiment. When many depressed people would rather not exist sometimes to escape whatever feeling or hardship they have he seems to be content to enjoy the moment. Sounds really nice and is perhaps the most significant change he has shown so far (if this was intentional).
Everyone copes differently, and for Josiah right now, enjoying the moment is exactly what is keeping him from being depressed. Perhaps it’s a lesson he can figure out how to extend out of the bedroom? But hey, it’s a learning process, and it can take a while! So don’t let where you’re at bring you down. Sometimes living in the moment is good, but I think sometimes looking ahead can be nice too, y’know?
(Also that Layton song is great. It’s been a while since I’ve played those games, but they always make me want to write a mystery or something.)
